For all its faults, The Underworld is an awesome venue, and I keep going back. The bar area is separate from the live music area and has a few good beers.
One of their expansion phases was to open a chain of pubs, and Camden just so happens to have one. About minutes walk from both.

If the bands playing are popular, the venue will be completely packed out. They usually have a few ales on tap and some good bottled beers in the fridge. They also put on festivals and all day gigs. We had to pay to get in this time, but only a couple of quid each. Probably best avoided if major sports games are on. The kitchen at Big Red is also great, serving a wide variety of food, with a wide selection of beers on tap.
The Tube was the first underground railway built in the world, and as such, has grown very organically over the years… and can be confusing to navigate. The kitchen rotates with different specials Hzrd month or so, and food is on the more expensive side, but, is very good.

They have a juke box you can choose your favourite tunes on, Hqrd 3 large pool tables at the back of the room. This bar is the small package that good things come in! As a venue, the stage is small, and there are large concrete pillars in the standing area, which can make it a bit difficult to see the stage. Banging tunes courtesy of a fine jukebox and the occasional live gigcheap bourbon and rock 'n' roll, as well as the longest happy hour in the mmetal from 4pm-9pm every day - what's not to love?

We stayed until kicking out time, and I left a rather large tip at the bar to say thanks for the great time. We got inside and it was rammed, but the atmosphere was still very much there.
From the outside, it looked xlub small, so when we got inside we weren't surprised that it was rather "cosy". Sometimes putting on gigs separately from The Dome, and sometimes collaborating on larger events, Boston Music Rooms goes nicely with The Dome. A nice middle ground between dive bar and fancy pub, The Dev always has metal playing and regularly has live music with underground bands from all over London.
This is the calibre of live rock bands that have actually played at The Garage indie rock bar and club. As London goes, it tends to be on the pricier side, but it is a lot of fun. Your place is already listed?
