Geometric Scripps Seaside Forum Wedding

Scripps Seaside Forum is located on the UCSD campus, at the Institution for Oceanography Research.

Building their LEED certified venue for their own events, also meant it could be available on specific dates for couples to rent as an oceanfront wedding venue.

When you want to be married overlooking the crashing waves and have an elegant indoor reception, this is a perfect space for you.

Dates fill up quickly, so booking an off season wedding date is a good choice, as long as you are ok with a backup plan for an indoor wedding ceremony.

Deena and Jim live in Orange County, and they knew having their Geometric Scripps Seaside Forum wedding day in February meant taking a chance on weather, but they were willing to risk it.

Having an affinity for gold and geometric shapes, meant you would find this look throughout the wedding day.  From the stationery, decor, and signage,to the dessert table backdrop, it was present all through the wedding venue.

They created much of their geometric wedding shapes for the tables, but luckily West Elm has great options for elegant decor, as well, and they added several cool pieces into the space.

As the groom was formerly in an early 90s ska band, one of the guests was able to provide the DJ with a recording of one of their original songs, so friends and family could reminisce over the sounds of their youth.  It was a a fun personal touch to the day!

We were thrilled to celebrate with them and their guests and wish them all the best!
